Dr Michael Gu

MBBS FRACGP

Dr Michael Gu is an experienced General Practitioner with a broad interest in family medicine and preventative healthcare. He has a particular interest in skin cancer checks and management, skin cancer procedures, minor surgery and men’s health.

Dr Gu also has extensive experience caring for older patients, including residents in residential aged care facilities. He values continuity of care and takes a thorough, patient-centred approach to managing both acute and ongoing health concerns.

His clinical interests include skin cancer medicine, minor surgery, men’s health, chronic disease management, aged care and preventative health.

Dr Gu is committed to providing personalised, practical healthcare and building long-term relationships with his patients and their families.

Dr Hyunjo (J0) Hur

MBBS FRACGP

Dr.Hyunjo Hur is from South Korea and spent her early years in the US and New Zealand. She studied health sciences at the University of Otago, Dunedin and completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2012. Her early career was spent in Geelong, Colac and Ocean Grove where she complete her training in General Practice. In 2018, she became a fellow of the College of General Practice and decided to move back closer to her family in Melbourne and join Glenmount Medical clinic.

Dr Hur enjoys every aspect of General practice but her special interests include Women’s health, paediatrics and simple skin procedures. She is currently finishing off her diploma of child health in Westmead hospital, Sydney. When she is not at work she is spending time with her family and friends and also enjoys jogging and swimming.

Dr Patrick Guan

MBBS FRACGP

Dr Patrick Guan completed Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at Deakin University in 2012 and subsequently worked at Bendigo Health in Victoria and Mount Gambier Hospital in South Australia. From 2017 to 2019, he undertook general practice training in Gippsland in Victoria and obtained RACGP fellowship in 2019.

His clinical interests include chronic disease management, geriatric medicine, men’s health and paediatrics. He undertook further study in paediatrics by completing Sydney Child Health Program through Sydney Children’s Hospital Network.

Dr Yin Min Thein

MBBS, FRACGP, DCH

Dr Yin Min Thein has been practicing as a general practitioner in Melbourne for the past 10 years after obtaining her fellowship in 2015. Before her GP fellowship training in regional NSW in 2014, she worked at LaTrobe Regional Hospital and Angliss Hospital in Victoria. She has special interest in paediatric medicine and completed a Diploma in Child Health from Sydney’s Children Hospital. She is also passionate about women’s health, youth mental health, travel medicine, weight management, preventive medicine and chronic disease management.

Nursing Team

Queenie Fung – Registered Nurse

Queenie is a Registered Nurse with over 11 years of experience in primary healthcare and general practice. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Edith Cowan University and has worked across a range of general practice settings, including as a Lead Practice Nurse.

Queenie has extensive experience in chronic disease management, immunisations, preventative health, wound care, health assessments and assisting with minor procedures. She is passionate about providing quality, patient-centred care and supporting patients to achieve their health goals.

Queenie is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin and brings a calm, compassionate and approachable manner to her work at Glenmount Medical.

Catherine Blyth – Registered Nurse

Catherine is a Registered Nurse with extensive critical care experience across Australia and the United Kingdom. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing with First Class Honours and has worked in intensive care settings caring for patients with complex medical, surgical and trauma-related conditions.

Catherine is currently transitioning into primary care nursing and undertaking further training in immunisation, cervical screening and primary healthcare.

At Glenmount Medical, Catherine is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centred care and supporting our patients across their healthcare journey. She brings a calm, professional approach and a strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Our reception team is often the first point of contact for patients at Glenmount Medical and plays an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive experience from the moment you contact the practice.

Our friendly and experienced reception staff are here to assist with appointments, enquiries, referrals, medical records and general practice administration. They work closely with our doctors and nursing team to help ensure the practice runs smoothly and that patients receive the support they need.

Dr Bo Yin – Chiropractor

Dr Bo Yin completed his bachelor of Health Science/Applied Science (Chiropractic) in 2019 and a further study of Webster Technique in mid-2024. He has also completed training in Thompson techniques and Birth and Pregnancy field.

Apart from general Chiropractic practice for the management of neck, back pain and headache.
Dr Yin has special expertise in care for:

– TMJ conditions

– Pregnancy, perinatal and postpartum care

– Gentle care for elderly person

– Scoliosis and postural management for children and adolescence.

Albert Yeap – Diabetes Educator

Sleep Apnea Consultant Pharmacist and Credentialed Diabetes and Asthma Educator.

Originally practicing as a pharmacist in rural Murray Bridge and Barossa for 6 years, and moved to Victoria 3.5 years ago with the aim to be part of an allied care team, and assisting the clinic with diabetes alongside other chronic conditions.

Albert did his traineeship in the Alfreds and Bakers Institute and has experience in managing Type 1,2 and Gestational diabetes. Albert can also support patients who uses the insulin pump. Albert is able to conduct home visits to review your medications.
